England's UEFA Nations League squad has been announced, with Job Bellingham receiving his first call-up.

England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his 25-man squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain this month.

21-year-old midfield star Job Bellingham has been selected for the senior national team for the first time, joining his brother Jude Bellingham in the squad. However, Chelsea's key player Cole Palmer was left out of the squad.

In an interview, Tuchel explained the reason for calling up Job Bellingham: "We are facing a shortage of players in the central midfield position. Alex Scott has not yet recovered, and Miles Lewis-Skelly, who had played in the previous four games, is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards."

“Lee Carsley has been very positive about Jobs in recent months, and his performance at Dortmund has been outstanding. This is a great opportunity for him to learn and showcase himself with the first team.”

Regarding Palmer's omission from the squad, Tuchel had previously stated that he had missed too many training camps. Although Palmer has made 11 appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring 5 goals, he has only made 3 appearances for the England national team in the past two years, and his inconsistent attendance due to injuries and suspensions ultimately led to his exclusion from the squad by the coaching staff.
